Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha better known by her stage or screen identity Gugu Mbatha Raw. She became popular after she was cast in "Doctor who.' This British Science Fiction TV show broadcasts on BBC. Handler began to do stand-up comics full-time once she turned 21. It was clear that she had a talent for the art of storytelling. Handler's first professional gig was as part of the all-female Oxygen television cast on the series with a hidden camera called Girls Behaving Unreasonably. Between 2002 and 2005, the show aired. The host then appeared on other TV shows such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler began working on The Tonight Show as a correspondent. Handler achieved her first big break with the hosting of a show for E! known as The Chelsea Handler show. It ran for two seasons. Handler also performed in America as part of the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend as well as HBO have shown her stand-up comedy performances.
